- Barclays kit boost for local gridiron coaches
Barclays
has backed a local American Football club for
the coming season by donating a complete set of
coaching kit and equipment to the Fife Fire. The
award to the club has been made as part of the
£30m grassroots sports programme, Barclays
Spaces for Sports.
|
|
|
The
donation is one of only 1200 packs being awarded
each year to ensure sports clubs across the UK
will benefit from the 3 year scheme.
Mark
Bramwell, Fife Fire Headcoach commented ”This
coaching kit is a very welcome addition to our
club, and we are delighted to have attracted the
backing of a major organisation such as Barclays.
It shows their commitment to developing grassroots
sports and also the level of interest the Fire
are gaining from our hard work”
Michelle
Smith, Barclays Sponsorship Director said “Barclays
are delighted to be supporting the Fife Fire and
hope this coaching kit will encourage their interest
in sport and lead them to greater success!”
Barclays
Spaces for Sports, a partnership between Barclays,
Football Foundation and Groundwork, will create
sustainable sports sites and provide coaching
kit and equipment to communities in most need
of help across the UK.

November 2006 - Combo training session hailed
a success
The Edinburgh Wolves traveled over the forth to
join the Fire in a joint training session today.
The combined squads meant that there were more
than 30 kids, receiving dedicated coaching from
7 coaches.
Both
team's coaching staff were delighted with the
turn out and work rate of the youngsters, and
saw individual positional coaches work on specifics,
which would not normally be as easy whilst training
separately

June 2006
The new shirt design has been unveiled, that will adorn
our players for 2006 and the future. The game jerseys
are being supplied by American Sports of Manchester,
and we should hopefully have them in about 4 weeks time.
The
striking design uses the traditional Fife colours originally
sported by the Fife 49ers, and will see the Fire continue
wearing the Red and Black for many years to come.
